After a decade of tinkering in our in-house lab, Go-To has finally made its long-awaited move into haircare.
We figured it was about time hair got the Go-To treatment: clinically-backed actives, multi-tasking formulations, and genuine results that look good, yes, but also support hair health from root to tip.
Go-To Haircare consists of three treatments. Each as hardworking and chic on your shelf as the other. Each exceptionally safe for coloured hair. And finally: each formulated to serve very different parts of your hair routine.
Want to know the difference between them, what they do, and how they do it? Here’s your Go-To Haircare handbook to brush up on.
Step #1: Treat
Rapid Scalp Exfoliant: A fast-acting chemical scalp exfoliant to remove buildup and flakes.
ICYMI: Your scalp is skin—and just like the skin on your face, it can accumulate dead skin cells, clogged follicles, and sebum/product build up. Rapid Scalp Exfoliant is a skincare-first scalp treatment designed to whisk away dead skin cells and rebalance your scalp.
On the ingredients list, you’ll find a multi-targeted chemical exfoliant formula of AHAs and BHAs (yep, the same ones you’d find in our trio of skincare exfoliators). These ingredients provide the same benefits as they would on your face: They slough away build up, regulate oil production, and unclog follicles (your scalp’s equivalent of a pore).
A balanced, clarified scalp leads to hair that stays less oily for longer. That means more time between washes, cleaner feeling hair, and a more balanced scalp ecosystem.
Essentially consider this a pre-wash shampoo to be applied to dry hair before your shampoo.
Step #2: Replenish
Very Luxe Hair Mask: A nourishing facial for your hair.
The Luxe range has gained a formidable, new sibling. This time, for hair! Just like the rest of the Luxe range, Very Luxe Hair Mask has been formulated with a hardworking lineup of clinically proven actives, designed to tackle dehydration and dullness. Expect it to face unruly strands head-on.
Why makes it so luxe? First up, its weightless peptide complex (amaranth caudatus seed extract). Just like peptides add plump and bounce to your skin, this ingredient delivers fuller, thicker-looking hair. Next: its trio of hardworking hydrators (betaine, glycerin, and beet root extract). They are pros at drawing in and holding onto moisture, helping to condition hair from within. Finally, its duo of fortifying butters (shea and mango) rich in lipids and fatty acids to replenish and restore the hair cuticle.
Plus, it contains buriti oil and prickly pear oil to layer on the nourishment, and boost shine while helping defend against the oxidative stressors behind dullness and damage.
This is a post-wash treatment that takes the place of your conditioner.
Step #3: Nourish (And Protect)
Hair Hero: Your all-in-one daily hair guardian.
Lightweight but hardworking, Hair Hero pulls a double duty; working as both a treatment and styling oil for shinier, softer, and stronger hair. Featuring a powerhouse blend of conditioning agents, Hair Hero boosts smoothness, shine, and manageability without a whiff of residue weighing it down.
Taking cues from its predecessor Face Hero, Hair Hero features buriti to help nourish and soften—while algae oil tames frizz and treats (and protects against) split ends, heat damage, and humidity. Packed with antioxidants, this duo protects those strands from the environmental stressors (sunlight/humidity/pollution!) known to leave your hair dull, dry, unmanageable.
This is a post-wash and conditioner treatment. Use it on wet, towel-dried hair before styling to add extra nourishment and heat protection and after to lock in your style.
Wait, So What’s The Difference Between The Mask And The Oil?
Great question.
Much like face oils and face creams, these two categories can sometimes feel much of a muchness. Both add softness, shine, and nourishment to your hair but in different ways. Often doing their best work together.
Like a moisturiser, a hair mask is water-based and packed with conditioning ingredients that can penetrate and coat the hair shaft. You leave it on for 3–5 minutes before washing it out.
Like a face oil, a hair oil is oil-based and smooths the hair surface to help protect against dryness and humidity. This one you leave in your hair.
They work best together on colour-treated, damage, or heat-styled regularly to tackle dry ends, frizz, and breakage
