Face Hero is no stranger to fanfare. With 1.2 million bottles sold (or 240 bathtubs worth) (but who’s counting?), we’ve heard it all from our day-ones, for-lifers, and late converts on how they use, reuse, and love this all-in-one skin guardian.
Since it’s Face Hero’s 10th birthday and we’re feeling a smidge nostalgic, we thought we’d reminisce over ten of our absolute favorite Face Hero-themed anecdotes.
The dog mum: Mel and Frankfurt
Mel unlocked a new hack for Face Hero when trying to nurse her pup’s fur back to health.
“My sweet dog was diagnosed with a terminal illness in June last year. Long story short he's now in remission. He received a horrible haircut for a bone marrow biopsy [that] refused to grow back. Enter: Face Hero! He had his own bottle and it was used daily on his baldness and patchy fur until the bottle ran out. Enter: luscious fur again. So both of us now have glowing skin thanks to Face Hero, the real MVP.”
The green thumb: Katherine M
As a long-time Go-To fan, Katherine noticed the petite peach bottles were the perfect size for plant propagation.
“I use mine for propagating plants—pop in a cutting until it grows roots, then the cutting can be planted in dirt.”
The #OGgoconut: Dianne J
A small but elite few of Face Hero megafans were there February 26, 2015—snagging a bottle of Face Hero the very day it launched.
“Been using FH (Face Hero) every day since its launch in 2015. My 67-year-old skin shows all the signs of being extremely happy that I do. #OGgoconut.”
The no-makeup maven: Claire T
Face Hero is loved for creating a bright, bouncy base that’s good enough to be worn on its own, even for job interviews.
“Research suggests that women who don’t wear makeup are less likely to be successful in employment. As a nonmakeup wearer, that’s a little intimidating. I decided to be my natural self and instead make my natural skin shine with… FH (Face Hero). I must say, I felt more comfortable in my naturally glowy skin than trying to be someone I’m not.”

Erica has been crafting peach crochet outfits for Face Heroes to protect against bottle breakage.
“I’ve read a lot of very sad posts about broken Face Hero (so heart breaking), so I’ve made my own little Face Hero protection. (Face Hero’s hero!). What do you think? In peach, of course!”

A fellow plant propagator, Tammy is a long-time Face Hero fan. Her long-term love affair has seen her rip through a bottle in record time.

The explorer: Jemima K
According to Jemima, the small but mighty Face Hero is ready to take on anything. Be it: The elements or teen boys.
“I work as an outdoor educator (I take school students on school camp) so I'm out in the elements all day—wind, rain, sun etc.. I wash my face in the evening after a long day of dust, and sunscreen and then Face Hero is like a warm soft hug for my dry weather-blown skin. I've even had students want to be part of my routine and at one camp recently, I had eight 16-year old boys 'pat' on Face Hero after cleansing. Thank you for bringing me a little joy each evening.”
The twofer: Sarah
Clarifying Face Hero might have been a gamechanger for Sarah’s breakouts and redness but she won’t give up using her first face oil love as well.
“Clarifying Face Hero is one for the win. It's definitely staying in the skincare routine but the normal Face Hero will never leave me. I can never not use my bestie Face Hero, so it’s always one after the other.”

“15 or 50—this stuff is great. There is a fight in our house over this little bottle. I am amazed that a beauty product can be shared by an active teenager and a slowing Mum and work well for both parties.”
