After hearing so many people raving about the OG Face Hero I had to try it, but unfortunately my combo oily skin didn’t love. This on the other hand is exactly what I needed! It’s super hydrating without being overly oily at the end of the day, and not only has it also helped clear up my skin, but I give it 10/10 for actually absorbing and not feeling like it’s just sitting on top.

Skin broke out when I first started using as I haven’t used anything slightly active for years. Dropped back to every second day and it’s working really well for congestion and pores.

I’ve only used this a few times so far but am not enjoying how oily and shiny this makes my skin look and feel - l already get oiliness throughout the day so it’s something I’m already self-conscious about! I don’t think I can stick with it, sadly. Agree the smell is a bit off-putting as well.

Clarifying Face Hero is a lightweight, non-greasy dry oil that has been specifically designed for those with oily, congested, or breakout-y skin. Occasionally, introducing a new product can cause skin to have a negative reaction. Sometimes it can be because your skin needs time to adjust, and sometimes it might just not be the right fit for you, which unfortunately seems like the case here. Had some clogged pores and blackheads that weren't budging, got this and the double cleanse and was very impressed, after a week of use it was pretty clear. Happy with the results :)

I purchased this from Mecca for the beauty loop hehe. It was purchased with the intention of being a pregnancy safe alternative to retinol. I’m not pregnant just trying alternatives for when I am. I’m around 3 weeks into using it and my goodness I’m purging so bad. I don’t know what it is but I’m noticing so many blackheads on my forehead and around my brows. Whiteheads around my nose. So gross. Not enjoying it. I’ll continue to use up the bottle as the studies are based on an 8 week trial. I hope the purging stops shortly.

Clarifying Face Hero will work best on active breakouts and congestion, but consistent use will help prevent future breakouts as well.
